Why Reservations?

Why go to reservations? For the longest time we avoided going down this path because we felt it did not give the experience we were trying to convey with Woodcutter’s – relaxed, organic, fun, spontaneous yet exciting. Over the years we have done numerous renovations to expand our space and add to what we could offer. As we’ve started to establish a rhythm with the community, one of the #1 reason for people passing up a chance to visit us has been busyness – “Let’s checkout Woodcutter’s; Oh it’s probably full…”. Outside of adding a live camera (which is probably illegal) how else are we able to convey to everyone if we are busy or not? If there is anything this pandemic has given us it is the wherewithal to explore reservations. You can now check whether or not Woodcutter’s is busy via our online reservation system (we know people hate these things but we hate telephones and yet we recently got one of those!). We feel truly fortunate to work with the team at TOCK to provide reservations and to go experiences. If you are averse to reserving online, we get it…and will always have a portion of woodcutter’s dedicated to walk-ins.

There are a couple of benefits that come along with our reservations:

1)     If you are tight for time you can reserve and pre-order food (currently only for lunches) so it is ready when you arrive!

2)     We can do 100% contactless payment via smart phones.

3)     Do not want to eat-in, no problem we have take-out options with contactless pick-up.

Lastly, we would like to thank everyone who has continued to support us during these times, we are eternally grateful for everything. We will continue to adapt to our environment and ensure we can provide an experience that is both safe for our clientele but also our staff. Stay safe everyone!

See you soon!

New Release Bout!!

IMG_1286.jpg

On the right, weighing in at 7.5%, complete with bad teeth, a “Fresh Old-English / IPA” street fighter baring molasses, dark fruit and coconut woodiness that packs a bitter punch.  In the left corner, displaying Belgian swagger, “Summer Saison” - a bold yet lighter 6.5% scrapper displaying a fruity orange / lemon taste, balanced with prominent spice and a touch of earthiness.  Who will win your palette?  Or is this an unstoppable one-two punch combo?

New Beer Alert - North-Central IPA

North Central IPA.jpg

Today we release an IPA with either an identity crisis or what could be described as a unification beer. Our North-Central IPA combines attributes of a West Coast IPA with that of a Northeast IPA to yield a highly quaffable beer – careful though, its 7.5% abv. Contains loads of hop derived flavors of pineapple, mango, peach, orange, lime, grapefruit and pine with a light malt back bone. Cheers to all the frontline workers from coast to coast!

New Beer - Euro Lager

IMG_1248.jpg

Let’s take a trip overseas from your lawn chair with a sip of our new Euro Lager.  This flavor journey begins with a mild malt derived light honey note along with a touch of bread and crackers, followed by a lightly hopped foray involving a vista of apricots and peach in an orchard. We then move into the countryside and take in the summer calm with distant raspberry and strawberry fields.  Finally, your flavor journey wraps up with a lively, extra dry, sweet grapefruit rind finish.  Hope you enjoyed this taste excursion or shall I say mini COVID 19 vacation.

Cheers and we think this pairs well with cheese from our friends at Cultured Fine Cheese!

New Beer Alert! Today we said good-bye to our Forest Saison and replaced it with our new Special Bitter. Here’s what our Brewmaster, Scott, had to say regarding his new creation.

“We decided to bring Britain to you!  Our deep copper coloured Special Bitter is a soft balance of lavender, mint, spice, honey, grass, earth, lemon, and thyme. These, along with its mild nutty note and delicate caramel tone, creates a beautiful song in beer.  A folk festival for your taste buds but without a port-a-potty lineup! “

Our new Special Bitter is available online line today for pick up. See you soon!
